Diabetes Type 1
The Causes of Diabetes Type 1
Usually, type I diabetes, also recognized as juvenile diabetes, is found in young people including children, adolescents and young adults under age 30. Though, people older than 30 years may also undergo juvenile diabetes, but the circumstance is quite rare. In the United States, almost half to one million people are suffering from diabetes type I. Genetic structuring, life experience and exposure to environmental stimuli are the widespread reasons of diabetes type I.
Though diabetes is not inherited from parents in the similar way that biological or personality traits or some supplementary diseases are inherited, an imperative genetic relation can be perhaps diagnosed as one of the main causes of diabetes type I. persons having first degree relative such as parent or siblings or offspring with diabetes are highly vulnerable towards developing diabetes than individuals having no such family history.
So far, scientists have not recognized the precise genetic reasons of diabetes type I, but they confirm some genes have been linked to the formation of type I diabetes. Jointly this group of genes is known as HLA complex. HLA complex contains the genetic structure for producing proteins engaged in the resistant system’s reaction to foreign matters. Particular HLA gene combinations are generally widespread with individuals having diabetes type I. but, till today researchers could not spot the precise cause behind the vulnerability of those people towards diabetes I who are having particular HLA combinations. Even though specific genetic structuring may be a sign, this is not perhaps the complete character describing the reasons of diabetes. A lot of people having the same HLA combination but never have developed such complexity.
Another common factor is certainly a viral infection, such as typical childhood respiratory infection or diarrhea infection. One or bunch of virus may become able to stimulate the immune system in such a way that forces the system to affect the pancreas harmfully with the same antibodies or immune cells that combat the viral infection.
In addition, some illness may also be considered as vital cause of diabetes. The most widespread of all these illnesses is pancreatitis which may cause pancreas demolition due to ruthless inflammation in the pancreas. Alcohol abuse, gallstones, unusually high level of calcium, and others may lead to develop pancreatitis.
